Activity Days in May 2023

Please see below details for Activity Days in May.

For those wishing to attend, you must meet the prerequisites listed on the Get Involved page.

If you don’t meet these requirements you will NOT be able to participate and will be sent home. You must report to a God’s Way Ltd manager on arrival at any Activity Day.

Be sure to read to the end of the post for information on what to bring, set up requirements etc. Please RSVP to office@godsway.net only if this is requested in the activity listing.

You are required to bring your own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to each activity day. This includes a hat, sunscreen, gloves, safety vest, safety glasses, dust mask and earplugs. It is also important that you wear appropriate clothing, as well as sturdy enclosed footwear. Anyone who does not have the appropriate safety equipment with them may be asked to leave.

Saturday, 13th May

Location: Caretakers Property
Time: 8am-12pm
Activity Details:
Outdoor work, including washing walls, vehicle service and clean, invasive species management etc.
Please let a manager know if you would like to participate in less physically demanding jobs.
We will have lunch together at midday.

Set up will be required at 71 O’Dea from 7am on the day.
Please let us know via email to office@godsway.net if you will be a part of the setup on the day.

Tools and equipment will be required for the following activities:

  • Invasive species removal, khaki weed
  • Water containers (do not fill at 71 O’Dea Road due to lack of water, they can be filled at Caretakers)
  • Cleaning equipment for cleaning vehicles, outdoor walls and the tools
  • First aid kits and safety horns

What to bring (in addition to items at the start of this post):

  • Bring your own chair and lunch
  • Drinks you require on the day
  • Any favourite tools, buckets etc.

Thursday, 18th & Friday 19th

Location: Caretakers Property
Time: Varied, up to 4 hours each day (probably 12-4pm on Thursday 10am-1pm Friday)
Activity Details:
Participants will assist Eloisa & Cornelius to finish coating the back deck
Please contact office@godsway.net if you would like to participate. A limited number of people are needed to complete the job so your participation may not be required. Confirmation from Eloisa via email.

Please note if it is raining this activity will be changed to a different day. Please let Eloisa know if you would also be available Wednesday in case of rain.

What to bring (in addition to items at the start of this post):

  • Respirator face mask
  • Old (clean) socks or slip shoes (they may get coating finish on them)
  • Old clothes for painting
  • Protective eye wear
  • Snacks and drinks

Saturday, 20th

Location: 71 O’Dea Rd
Time: 8am-12pm
Activity Details:
Varied outdoor tasks including invasive species management.
No group lunch this day. Participants will go home after clean up at midday.

Please let a manager know if you would like to participate in less physically demanding jobs.

What to bring (in addition to items at the start of this post):

  • Any favourite tools, buckets etc.
  • Food and drink you require for the morning

Tuesday, 23rd

Location: Caretakers
Time: 8am-3pm
Activity Details: Container Storage reorganization
No Set up will be required

  • Any favourite cleaning gear

Wednesday, 24th (Confirmed)

Location: Caretakers & Function Centres
Time: 8am-3pm
Activity Details:
Invasive species management, lantana, kennedia overgrowth

Set up will be required at 71 O’Dea from 7am on the day.
Please let us know via email to office@godsway.net if you will be a part of the setup on the day.

Saturday, 27th

Location: 98 O’Dea Rd
Time: 8am-12pm
Activity Details:
Varied outdoor tasks including invasive species management.
No group lunch this day. Participants will go home after clean up at midday.

Please let a manager know if you would like to participate in less physically demanding jobs.

Set up will be required at 71 O’Dea from 7.20am on the day.
Please let us know via email to office@godsway.net if you will be a part of the setup on the day.

  • Cleaning equipment for cleaning vehicles, outdoor walls and the tools
