God’s Way organisation wishes to start sharing information about the experiments that the Construction Branch has conducted in the Composite Mixes Project. The plan is to update you consistently by summarizing the experiment method, results and the motivations and desires of the team that affected the experiments. If you wish to get a more detailed overview of this project please follow this link to read the introductory post Programme Introduction: Building Materials Experiments.
In 2018 I successfully completed the God’s Way Volunteer Selection Programme. I feel this has and will be a big turning point in my life. Going from just regularly listening to Divine Truth, to actually being involved in God’s Way projects, has been a big shift.
There is a lot of activity going on within the organisation that few people are currently aware of! For this reason, a new project was recently established to assist in sharing these details publicly via the God’s Way Blog. Each member of God’s Way now writes and submits one post for the blog every month (this is encouraged but optional for volunteers). The submission piece can include photos, images and document attachments as well as written text, and can cover any topic related to the organisation.
AJ (Jesus) suggested this idea to the God’s Way directors, pointing out that at the time nothing about what was happening in the organisation was being shared with the world. An interview with Jesus about the background of this project and details about implementing it will be shared on the blog in future.
The properties that God’s Way Ltd purchased have been overgrazed and cropped for many years and need to be regenerated and repaired so that they can return, as close as possible, to the pristine natural environments they once were. This means to return the land to how it was before mankind began grazing, cropping, forestry and removing other native vegetation. In order to do this God’s Way Ltd will use various methods to foster the new and re-growth of native trees, shrubs, vines and grasses.
The best way of finding out the vegetation needed to restore the properties was to gather as much information as possible about Australian flora and order this logically into a database.
In May 2018, a 100 acre rural property in Cushnie, Queensland Australia came up for sale. The property has a small (84 square metre) steel framed house on it and is located adjacent to the God’s Way Ltd Function Centre. Catherine Spence entered discussions with Jesus (AJ Miller) and the God’s Way Ltd Directors to see if the property would be of benefit to God’s Way Ltd future plans, then decided to purchase this property and gifted joint ownership of the property to God’s Way Ltd.
Of the two adjoining properties, the existing house on the 100 acre property will become a residence for caretaker(s) of the Function Centre while projects are being undertaken there, and may also be used for short term visitors. The caretaker in residence will be a God’s Way Ltd member/members or volunteer(s) who has an established desire to live in harmony with the God’s Way Ltd Constitution and a passion for God’s Way Ltd projects.
The tired condition of the new caretaker’s house and some of its functionality needs to be altered, so before it is to be used, God’s Way Ltd has taken the opportunity to make some structural and internal changes to the building. The same private individual who purchased and gifted half ownership and full use of the property to God’s Way Ltd has also very generously gifted the funds for the renovations to go ahead.
All members and volunteers available were included in the work week.
This is the final part in the “Fundamentals” series of posts explaining the Vision and Fundamental Facts, Principles and Values of the God’s Way Ltd organisation.
By nature of the organisation’s constitution and selection processes for members and volunteers, every individual within the organisation shares a common vision and values.
One of the many and varied programmes that the God’s Way Ltd Construction Branch is setting out to achieve is the discovery and use of alternative and new building materials. The programme, directed by Jesus (AJ Miller) and managed by David Walsh (Cornelius), involves experimenting to create new building materials that can be used in building and construction. God’s Way Ltd is looking for new materials to build volunteer accommodation, a function centre, and to create materials that will benefit the world.
Experimentation will be required to develop alternatives to existing building materials, which may be completely new to construction and until now untested.
This post outlines the goals of the Building Materials Experiments Programme, and introduces the first experiment that God’s Way Ltd is conducting using industry byproducts/waste products to make a new building material. This specific set of experiments will involve mixing a variety of composite products together by hand and is thus called the Composite Mixes Project.
The third God’s Way Ltd Volunteer Selection Project was completed on Friday 10th May. The organisation welcomes 5 new volunteers, and one new member. The participants were delightful in their enthusiasm and excitement at completing the project and God’s Way Ltd current members and volunteers look forward to working with the new volunteers.
